An inclusion that hides the rest
When you add a page inclusion, all the other pages are excluded automatically. Without inclusions, the Offerwall applies to the whole site.
Implementation guide
Offerwall
A message that gives the person a way to unlock content, such as watching a rewarded ad, after a few pages read.
Understand it in 1 minute
The Offerwall is a message that appears on the site and offers an exchange so the person can keep reading. Think of a library that lets you read a few books for free and then asks for a small favor to continue, such as watching an ad. The person picks the option they prefer and, once they complete it, gets access to the content for a while or for a few pages.
It lives in Privacy & messaging, the area of AdSense and Ad Manager where you build messages for people who visit your site. You build everything in an editor, with logo, text, the choice options and a confirmation message at the end. The main option is the rewarded ad, which is on by default: the person watches a short ad and gets access. There is also email capture, in Beta, which means a test version. In Ad Manager there is also payment through Supertab, which is a third-party service, and a custom choice of your own, such as signing up to subscribe.
You decide when the message appears with Metering. If the limit is 2, the message appears after two pageviews. Each person's count restarts 30 days after their first pageview. You also decide how many times the person can dismiss the message before it starts to block the content. If you set the maximum number, 100, the message can always be dismissed.
Google says the goal is to increase revenue from the most engaged people, those who visit the site a lot. That is why it suits sites with loyal readers, who come back often and read many pages. Remember that you are responsible for the message text, so only create messages in languages you can check.

Tips
Watch out
When you add a page inclusion, all the other pages are excluded automatically. Without inclusions, the Offerwall applies to the whole site.
Exclusions win over inclusions. If a page is in an included section and also excluded, it gets no Offerwall.
The test parameter only works after you publish the message, and it does not show the Offerwall on excluded pages.
Ad blockers can hide the message, and old cookies can change the count. Test in an incognito window without a blocker.
In AdSense, rewarded ad and email capture, in Beta. In Ad Manager, also payment through Supertab and a custom choice, both in Beta.
Yes, as many times as you set. With the maximum number of 100, the Offerwall can always be dismissed.
Yes. Each person's count restarts 30 days after their first pageview.
In Ad Manager, yes: the rewarded ad uses limited or non-personalized ads, and the other choices stay available.
In the language set on the person's device, among the languages you selected when creating the message.
